SEEKING GOD’S WILL (Part 1)

The most important thing in life is to walk in God’s will. Walking in God’s will result in God’s favor. We will see His plans fulfilled in our lives.

God has a great plan for you.
Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

And yet so many times as Christians, we do not follow Biblical principles of making decisions. We want to do it our way and as a result we live a life of defeat and discouragement.

Life is about decisions. There are some major decisions that we all need to make – marriage, job, college, full-time call, etc. Mistakes in major decision will have serious consequences on our future. Remember we are a sum total of all the decisions that we make. Where we would be in the future would depend on the decisions that we make in the present.

As you seek God’s will, it is important that you:
· Have an abiding relationship with (Jn.15:4,5). Ensure you have your Daily Prayer Time
· Keep yielding to Him, desire to have His will not yours
· Have priorities in life to put God first (Mt.6:33)
· Take time to pray and seek God for decisions

So how do we make godly decisions? Here are 7 principles that would help you make right decisions.

Step 1: The Bible, God’s Word

Ps.119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
God will speak to us through His Word, the Bible. This is the primary way that God speaks to us. God’s Word will guide us. Every decision that you make must be in accordance with God’s Word. It must never contradict God’s Word. For example when God says “Do not be unequally yoked (2 Cor.6:14), it means a as Christians, we cannot marry a non-Christian.

As you read God’s word, God will speak to you. Have a daily Bible reading plan and allow God to speak and lead you. He is our Father and He wants to lead His children.

Step 2 The spoken Word, Rhema
God wants to lead us through His spoken Word. God speaks to His people. He is a loving Shepherd and we need to hear His voice and follow Him (Jn.10:3,4)

God speaks to us through:
· Inner voice - still small voice (1 King.19:12,13)
· Visions (Is.6:1)
· Dreams (Mt.1:20)
· Audible voice (1 Sam.3:4-10)
· Spontaneous thoughts

Position yourself to hear what God is saying. Wait on Him.

Step 3 The Peace of God

God can lead you through your inner witness – the peace of God in your hearts (Phi.4:9)
The Holy Spirit dwells in your heart, and if it is God’s will you will definetly have the inner peace in your heart

MIRACLE BREAKTHROUGH

Our God is miraculous. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly (Eph.3:20). With Him all things are possible (Mk.10:27). This is God’s purpose for you. And yet we struggle with so many issues in our lives?

How can you experience a miracle breakthrough?
Let us look at the woman with an issue of blood in Mark 5.
Mark 5:25, 26 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.

Here was a woman who had suffered for 12 years with a flow of blood. She was bound, isolated and lost all she had. She went from bad to worse. What do you do when everything is against you?

There is no problem too great that God cannot solve, there is no sickness too big that God cannot heal. This woman took 8 steps to experience the power of God.

Mark 5:27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.

1) Keep Hearing
You have to position yourself to hear about Jesus. You need to position to receive. By hearing, hope came amidst hopelessness, and faith was released. What you hear and receive from Jesus is the seed that will releases the miraculous.

2) Let Go
Give up on trying to solve the problem yourself. You have to move to a stage of release where you simply let it go to God.

3) Press through
Although weak, she had to press through the crowd. Don’t quit because there are obstacles. If you want your miracle breakthrough, you have to press through whatever obstacle

4) Touch Jesus
This is the most important thing that you need to do. Jesus is God and He is the Way , the Truth and the Life. You must come to Him. Touch Him. Call upon His Name. Get to Jesus.

5:28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

5) Speak Faith
She opened her mouth and declared what she believed. You need to speak what you believe. This is the power of confession.

5:29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

6) Power Received
As she touched Jesus, she received her miracle breakthrough. The power of Jesus flowed through her and she was healed of her sicknesses.

5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
5:31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”
5:32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
5:33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
5:34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Jesus wanted to know who touched Him. Someone had touched Him in faith and experienced His power. The woman came and fell down before Him and spoke to Him.

7) Relationship Strengthened
The priority is not the miracle but our relationship with Jesus. She fell down and poured her heart to Jesus. Jesus called her daughter. From just an significant nameless woman, she became a daughter. This is what Jesus does. He brings restoration.

8) Faith works
Jesus said to her “Your faith has made you well.” It is faith in God that will unlock the miraculous. Dare to believe God. If you can believe, all things are possible (Mk.9:23)

What are you struggling with today? – sickness, family struggles, disappointments, disillusionment, financial problems, etc. Why don’t you touch Jesus now, call upon His name and dare believe Him for a miracle.

Get ready for a Miracle Breakthrough. God bless you
